For customers

1. Search or post a job. Enter your postcode and the service you need. Posting a job takes about two minutes and is free.
2. We match you. Our system picks up to 5 verified pros with an active subscription whose coverage area includes your postcode. Featured pros for your area come first, then the nearest.
3. Pros reply. Each pro sees your job description, the name you gave and your postcode area, never your e-mail address or phone number. Pros who are interested say so.
4. You choose. We e-mail you a private link showing the interested pros and their contact details. You contact the ones you like. Get written quotes before agreeing to anything.
5. Leave a review. Once you tell us who you chose, you can review that pro. Only customers we matched can review.

The contract for the work is between you and the pro. We are not a party to it and we don’t guarantee the work. See the Terms for Customers.

For pros

1. Create your profile. Add your business details, the services you offer and how far you travel.
2. Upload your documents. We check your insurance, licence or professional registration before your profile goes live.
3. Choose a plan. One monthly fee, no lead fees and no long contract. Cancel any month.
4. Get job alerts. When a customer in your area posts a matching job, we e-mail you. Reply “I’m interested” from your account.
5. Win the work. The customer contacts you directly. Do a great job and earn genuine reviews.

What we check before a pro goes live

We check the document or register entry at the time shown on the profile. A “verified” badge is not a guarantee of the quality of anyone’s work. Always check that a quote, scope and timescale are agreed in writing.
